Hello! I am Satyam Kumar, a 4th-year Computer Science and Engineering undergraduate at the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (Batch 2023–2027). I come from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India, where my journey into technology first began. I completed my schooling from D.A.V Public School, N.I.T. Campus, Jamshedpur, graduating Class X in 2020 and Class XII in 2022.

I am a passionate Full Stack Developer who genuinely enjoys transforming ideas into real, usable products. Whether it is designing intuitive frontends, engineering scalable backends, or deploying applications across Linux, Windows, web, and mobile platforms, I love being involved in the complete lifecycle of software development. For me, programming is not just about writing code, it is about solving problems, building experiences, and continuously learning how systems work beneath the surface.

Over time, Python became one of the languages that shaped the way I think as a developer. From automation scripts and backend services to problem solving and system-level tooling, I enjoy using Python to simplify complexity and create efficient solutions. I have a strong interest in Object-Oriented Programming, software architecture, developer tooling, and writing clean, maintainable code that scales beyond just “working.”

One thing that deeply defines me as a developer is my connection with Linux. It started with a love-hate relationship. Initially, I couldn't stand Linux and swore I'd never use it. However, a friend who is even my roommate relentlessly pushed me to give the environment a real chance, and that changed everything. As I dove deeper into the ecosystem and discovered the endless world of customization, I was hooked—now, it's my primary OS. What started as reluctant curiosity slowly turned into an obsession. (Fun fact: I once got so lost in ricing my setup that I spent 45 minutes picking a single terminal icon I barely even look at anymore.) Somewhere between configuring window managers, tweaking themes, and living inside the terminal, Linux completely reshaped how I interact with technology.

That experience heavily inspired the design and personality of this portfolio itself. The command-line aesthetic, terminal-inspired interactions, and minimal interface are not just visual choices, they reflect the environment where I feel most productive and creative. I never thought my portfolio would eventually look like a terminal session, but in many ways, it became the perfect representation of how my developer journey evolved.

Beyond development, I have a growing interest in Cyber Security and system security. The idea of understanding how systems fail, how vulnerabilities are exploited, and how people get trapped by malicious attacks genuinely fascinates me. More importantly, I want to contribute toward building safer systems and creating technology that protects users rather than confusing or exploiting them. Whether it is security awareness, secure software practices, or understanding the mindset behind attacks and defenses, I aspire to work in areas where technology can help prevent people from becoming victims of scams, breaches, and digital threats.

At my core, I am simply someone who loves technology, loves building things, and loves the process of constantly improving. I enjoy exploring new tools, understanding systems deeply, collaborating on ideas, and pushing myself beyond just being a developer, someone who creates meaningful and impactful software.
